Position Summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of accounting assignments under general direction from supervisor. Demonstrates knowledge and expertise within accounting discipline. Works within existing systems or processes, provides incremental improvements, and exercises independent judgement. Identifies and analyzes problems and trends. Devise new approaches to most problems, seeking technical guidance on unusually complex problems.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Multi-site responsibility for one or more facilities for the A/R process.
- Accounting includes work across multiple areas of Accounting including:
- Ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.)
- Capital spend tracking.
- Control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.)
- Accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.) In some organizations, Accounting work may also include:
- Cost accounting/budgeting (allocation of direct/indirect costs, variance analysis, budget preparation, etc.)
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account analyses as part of the closing process
- Support periodic budgeting process
- Support SOX reporting and testing process
- Coordinate audit requests with internal and external audit groups
- Responsible for performing a variety of accounting assignments under general direction from supervisor

Required Skills
- Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability
- Experience with ERP systems for general accounting and consolidation purposes
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to successfully manage many issues/projects simultaneously
- Previous public accounting experience with manufacturing clients is a plus
