In order to support the Airframe simulation department based in Hamburg, Germany, Airbus is looking for a
Tolerancing Analyst (d/f/m)You will be part of a multicultural team with representatives in the UK, France, Germany and Spain, and with ties with Airbus North America and Airbus India Engineering. You will provide specialised Tolerancing (dimensional variation management) solutions for all Airbus programmes, including research programs, new technologies, new aircraft concepts and innovative industrial systems. As part of the Tolerancing transnational team, you will be involved in all the different development steps of an aircraft programme, from the very first R&T phase up to the production, interacting with the Final Assembly Line, aiming at defining the best solution considering the design principles, the results from complex toolset (detailed finite element models, aerodynamics, etc.), the requirements from the industrial system and the supply chain.
Your locationYou will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilitiesYou will contribute to the management of Multi Functional Teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality) dedicated to converge on tolerance values for relevant aircraft components
You will visit the relevant manufacturing plants and the Final Assembly lines as required by your activity
You will acquire and further develop your tolerancing skills with respect to Airbus tolerancing processes, methodologies and tools while getting a comprehensive overview of the development steps of an aircraft
You will understand how an aircraft is designed and manufactured, and how to apply the appropriate Tolerancing solutions for achieving best product performance and cost effective manufacturing
You will produce tolerancing deliverables (tolerancing analysis, models, drawings, technical reports) for all Airbus programmes and components, and for other products such as helicopters and space vehicles
Desired skills and qualificationsYou are educated to an Engineering degree
You preferably have knowledge of ISO Tolerances annotation, 1D and 3D stack-up, Mecamaster/3DCS tools
You preferably have experience in Computer Aided Design, CATIA would be a plus
You preferably have experience in manufacturing
You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Language skills: negotiation level in English; advanced level in German would be a plus
You are motivated to work remotely in an international environment and willing to travel for business several times a year
