Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Sell air freight charter services
• Coordinate trip logistics: request flight plan, communicate with pilot regarding freight gross weight, special handling information, arrange pickup and delivery of freight at start and end of trip.
• Coordinate with crew scheduling, Maintenance Control, and Ground Operations to efficiently utilize resources to achieve customer service.
• Send emails with status updates.
• Coordinate with maintenance department on status of planes.
• Follow up with customer to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
• Arrange transportation or lodging for crew members; manage coverage of remote fleet.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Skills and Qualifications

• FAA Dispatcher License strongly preferred.
• Thorough general knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Administration Part 135 and Part 121 regulations.
• Thorough general knowledge of charter sales and customer service techniques.
• Ability to prepare appropriate paperwork for charter pilot.
• Ability to recognize errors, maintain attention to detail, maintain discretion when working with confidential information.
• Flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Spanish-speaking desirable.

Physical environment/working conditions

• Prolonged sitting at dispatch control station.
• Prolonged use of telephone.
• Frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping and reaching associated with posting charter information.

• Personal computer, telephone, miscellaneous office equipment.
