Full-Time Schedule: 9x80 (Every Other Friday Off)
Target salary range: $150K - $200K+

This position is based in Huntsville, AL, working closely with key defense customers to drive advancements in military communications. In this role, you will lead cutting-edge initiatives that push the boundaries of electronic warfare technology and contribute to mission-critical programs. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of secure, resilient communications for the warfighter, influencing solutions from concept to deployment in support of national security.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for leading the development of complex military communications and electronic warfare. This position requires you to be a Subject Matter Expert in RF and communications design including software defined radios (SW/FW) and countermeasure development for mission critical applications. The ideal candidate will be a principal-level, hands-on development engineer with deep expertise in RF design for tactical military communications systems. This individual will not only lead technically at the program level but will also be directly involved in the full engineering lifecycle—from initial design through real-world testing, validation, and operational implementation.
Drive the design, development, and testing of RF and communications systems for electronic warfare and tactical military applications
Serve as technical lead on programs, shaping solutions from concept through hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, validation, and deployment
Conduct system modeling, simulation, and signal processing for RF-based communication systems
Architect and implement signal processing algorithms to support mission-critical capabilities
Apply cybersecurity techniques to software-defined radios (SDRs) and communications systems
Use SDR design frameworks such as GNURadio and REDHAWK for development and prototyping
Support scenario development, mission simulation, and interface directly with government stakeholders
Document and present technical work to internal teams, program management, and defense customers
