Description:You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer Staff for our Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team in Grand Prairie, TX, managing and supporting assigned suppliers for the GMLRS program. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of critical components and systems, and implements rigorous quality standards to guarantee excellence.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Supplier Quality Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for driving supplier quality performance, identifying trends, and ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and program management to resolve quality issues and improve overall quality performance.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Managing and supporting assigned suppliers to ensure quality performance
-Identifying trends and monitoring supplier processes to drive corrective and preventive actions
-Providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions
-Interfacing with suppliers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), production sites, customers, and program management
-Supporting Material Review Boards (MRBs) and Failure Review Boards (FRBs) to disposition nonconforming hardware
-Providing technical liaison support for Quality Engineering matters
-Conducting scheduled product source inspections, first article inspections, and surveillance assessments
-Ensuring supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified
-Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement
-Mentoring and training Quality individuals supporting the GMLRS program

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above
and/or equivalent experience/combined
education.

-Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and
maintain a secret clearance.

-Experience with performing First Article
Inspections to AS9102 requirements or PPAP
AS9100 interpretation and application
experience.

-Thorough knowledge of Industry recognized
Quality systems such as International (ISO) and
aerospace (AS).

-Experience as a team leader.

-Experience implementing Material Review
Boards, Failure Review Boards, and
dispositioning non-conformances.

-Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
for development of quality standards, methods,
work instructions and procedures for inspection
and test of manufactured products.

-Experience in making risk-based data driven
decisions.

-Advanced understanding and experience
completing root cause analysis and corrective
action planning.

-Demonstrated understanding of audit
techniques.

-Knowledge of Configuration Management and
control processes.

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office
applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

-Experience with Machine Shop, Mechanical
Assembly, Tooling / Gages / Fixtures, and
Mechanical Inspection.

-Demonstrated presentation skills.

-Ability to travel at least 20, including to
various domestic production and supplier locations.
Desired Skills:
-STEM degree at bachelors level or higher
preferred.

-Experience with Quality or Manufacturing
auditing.

-Experience with Propulsion, Chemicals, or
Energetics.

-Experience with SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P).

-Experience or knowledge of special processes
and associated specification requirements.

-Prior experience working at MFC and LMs
supply base.

-American Society for Quality (ASQ)
Certifications.

-Expert in Geometric, Dimension, & Tolerancing
(GD&T).

-Extensive technical knowledge and experience
in the area of Supplier Quality.

-Experience with providing technical liaison
support related to design and quality engineering
matters.

- Basic electrical schematics experience.

- Understanding of test equipment, interpreting test results.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
