Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Supplier Quality team is currently seeking to hire a experienced Supplier Quality Specialist . These roles will be based in Tianjin, China.
Position Overview
BCA has an immediate need for experienced Supplier Quality Specialists to join the Supplier Quality – Work Movements and Prevention Organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all Initial Product and Production System Validation (IPPSV) activities are executed effectively and in accordance with plan.
This position reports to the BCA Supplier Quality Regional Operations Manager – Work Movements and Prevention (EMEA & APAC Regions).
Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct supplier quality oversight for work transfers, including but not limited to: Quality Requirement Reviews; Requirement consumption reviews; First Article Inspections (FAI) and Quality Process Assessments
Partner with Supplier Quality Engineers, Process Focal, Supply Chain Engineering, Supply Chain Stakeholders etc. to execute IPPSV activities
Collaborate with Regional Sustainment SQ teams to implement Early Quality Engagement and prevention strategies
Proactively engage with suppliers to drive First Time Quality (FTQ)
Ensure suppliers have robust processes to identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks associated with work transfers
Support and monitor supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) deliverables
Assess supplier capability and capacity for current and future work scope
Document and communicate audit/assessment results in coordination with Regional Supplier Quality Representatives (SQRs)
Review supplier Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) related to IPPSV-controlled parts
Drive incorporation of lessons learned into new work statements
Provide supplier coaching on APQP, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor supplier performance and lead quality improvement initiatives
Report supplier risks and opportunities to leadership
Support domestic and international travel as required
Basic Qualifications
Prior experience in aerospace quality audits and assessments
Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
Proven experience in supplier quality development
Strong understanding of Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
Experience with supplier quality systems and process auditing
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of quality tools and processes such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, FAI, and RCCA
Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145 standards
Lean / Lean Six Sigma experience (value stream mapping, shop floor events)
Project management experience and best practices knowledge
Experience in developing supplier improvement strategies and providing training/coaching
Other information:
Infrequent Business travel may be expected to other regional and global sites as driven by business needs.
