Role Overview

All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters. Includes hourly, nonexempt and exempt employees as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

The Ideal Candidate

  • Take customer technical inquiry responsiveness on LEAP-1A engine program, mainly focus on the line maintenance, engine controls and systems questions.
  • Support line maintenance, engine controls and systems level signification event investigation in APAC region.
  • Work with global line maintenance leader to continue improve Engine Troubleshooting Manual mature by incorporating fleet best practice, lessons learned, other controls or systems improvement opportunity.
  • Support LEAP global leading indicator team to build the data collection process in APAC region, work with Field Service Engineer, Customer Technical Program Engineer and MRO shop floor engineer to execute the hardware condition review and data collection effectively.
  • Build CEOD data analysis capability to support field issue effective solving or fleet wise data analysis to identify early indicators or trend to mitigate risk or help root cause investigation.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Bachelor’s degree or plus in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years of experience in turbofan engine engineering position or 6+ years on commercial engine line maintenance or systems trouble shooting experience.

Preferred Characteristics

  • 6+ years of experience in aircraft engine hardware design, analysis, testing or integration is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
