Position Summary:

Use various hand held and bench mounted measuring devices to determine product quality. Perform in-process and final product audits to ensure product conformance to customer requirements. Maintaining and communicating these results to internal customers.

Essential Functions:

• Use White light scanning, Faro Arm, contour tracers, comparators, and other measuring tools to assess condition of tooling, gaging, fixtures, and ceramic cores and blocks
• Customer first article or CVSR layouts of ceramic cores
• Dimensional inspections of ceramic cores including raw, midpoint, CNC, and final SPC for shipments
• Disposition and label cores or blocks to ensure suspect or nonconforming material is stopped and segregated
• Partial periodic die assessments
• Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures
• Maintain department standards for housekeeping/6S
• Other duties as assigned by supervision

Required Skills:

• Ability to read micrometers and verniers
• Ability to organize and maintain documentation
• Willingness and ability to learn and perform new assignments
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision

Experience & Education

• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to interpret specification
• Ability to understand basic statistics
• Laboratory, metrology, calibration, and/or technician experience
• Technical certifications or Associates degree in technology (Not mandatory)
