Job Description
GE Aerospace will be hiring for the Maintenance Apprentice Program in Rutland, Vermont.
The program is a three-year curriculum consisting of on-the-job training on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment. The apprentice will be attending Vermont State University classes which earn credits toward an engineering degree. After the first successful year of basic maintenance apprentice training, the apprentice will go onto year two and three in the Mechanical or Electronic Apprentice Program based on the apprentice’s demonstrated abilities and the needs of the business. For those apprentices entering the electronics apprenticeship, additional on the job training will be required to achieve a VT Journeyman Electrician’s License. Starting pay will be $30.64 for all apprentices, progressing up to $43.44 for a mechanic and $46.95 for an electronics technician. Upon graduation from program, candidates may be placed in off shift roles based on business demands, which could include 4th, 5th, or 6th shifts.

Application Minimum Requirements:
-Must be at least 18 years old by August 18, 2025
-High School Diploma or GED
-Basic computer skills
-A letter outlining why you want to participate in the program
-Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen including testing for marijuana
-Ability and willingness to earn a certificate of completion in the registered 3- year apprentice program with the State of Vermont
-Must be willing to attend class 3-4 nights per week after working 8-hour day
-Must be available to take the Accuplacer exam during ONE of the sessions offered at Stafford Technical Center – (Rutland - testing options will be provided to applicants)

Trade school or technical college degree
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
