Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Procurement Vendor Performance Supervisor represents the Face of UPS to the Airline MROs, as well as the Component Purchase and Repair Industry. The Representative establishes and manages working relationships with vendors at all levels within their organization. Also responsible for participating in the establishment of contract terms, contractual compliance, setting vendor expectations, and evaluating vendors services offerings to ensure products or services meet expectations. The Representative will monitor vendor performance and coordinate individual vendor performance reviews, both onsite and offsite as well as perform financial vendor onsite and desk audits (domestic vendor locations only require travel). They are required to evaluate new supplier qualifications ensuring UPS QA and Engineering Standards as well as applicable FAA regulations are met. They will then establish internal department reviews for approval of Purchase and Repair vendors. In addition, they support the customer service role for financial and technical issues. 

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a Supervisor role responsible for coordination of vendor follow-up actions related to commercial, contractual, onsite audit and desk audit reviews. The representative will work with internal and external customers and support functions to resolve business or operational obstacles to include RFI, RFP, RFQ and strategic sourcing initiative support. Must be able to prioritize vendor reviews, travel schedules and maintain vendor status reports as pertained to your assigned suppliers. Will provide technical support and liaison for technical issues between Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Engineering. The position will also entail supervisory responsibilities to include but are not limited to administration of employees, employee records, training, and periodic performance reviews. This job does require travel.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Responsibilities Include:

1.  Coordinate required procurement and vendor activities in support Procurement Group initiatives and metrics.
2.  Coordinate action plans related to Commercial, Contractual requirements as well as vendor onsite audits.
3.  Prioritize, work and provide status for action items per assigned Asset Management Group.
4.  Assist Procurement Groups with vendor support issues to include sourcing alternatives. 
5.  Oversee Business Professional and Administrative employees who create vendor performance data. 
6.  Provide new supplier evaluations meeting UPS QA, Engineering and FAA Regulatory requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS:

College degree or Airframe and Power Plant License or equivalent aviation experience is required.  Experience with technical documents (i.e. IPCs, AMMs, MELs, Commercial Contracts, other technical documents) is required. Three(3) years commercial experience in aircraft materials, aircraft maintenance or similar procurement field is required. Understanding of and skilled in RFI, RFP and RFQ processes, negotiations using technical experience for value based outcomes of agreements and settlements. Must be organized, a self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication, presentation and people skills are required. Must be self-motivated and hold self accountable to obtain quality results. Must be a team player with proven leadership skills.

Additional Skills / Knowledge/Qualifications:

Experience in procurement and/or financial analysis preferred. Previous Supervisory and or Management experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office package, database software, query building, report generation and presentation skills are preferred.

Interpersonal Skills & Abilities:

Must be organized, a self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.  Strong communication, presentation and people skills are required.  Relationship building and understanding of relationships on the current business processes and airline operations.  Must be willing and able to analyze alternatives and recommend course of action.  Must be self-motivated and hold self accountable to obtain quality results.  Must be a team player with proven leadership skills.  Have a technical or analytical aptitude in order to understand aircraft maintenance requirements and technical documents (i.e. IPC, MM, MEL, Commercial Contracts, etc.).

Miscellaneous:

This job is in an office setting full-time. Remote or hybrid schedule not available.
