Description - ExternalAbout the roleWith an extensive global network, highly-experienced staff and premium facilities, we offer a high-quality air freight service to our growing list of customers around the world.As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Cargo Operations Team in London Heathrow as a Cargo Operations Supervisor for UK and Ireland. The role includes:• Responsible for facilitating smooth cargo operations at the region through close coordination with GHAs and staffs within the station to ensure adherence to QR / IATA Standards and Procedures• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operations • Ensure operational support functions are working smoothly including trucking, ULD handling and redeployment, use of consumables and other external interfaces• Check all ULDs prior to loading aircraft to ensure they meet all QR standards• Maintain aircraft on-time performance and ensure no delays occur due to ground operations. Any aircraft delays attributable to cargo must be investigated and reported• Ensure discrepancies and non-conformances are investigated and minimized in order to increase customer satisfaction and reduce carrier liability • Supervision of freighter turnaround to ensure safe and secure operations
Qualifications - ExternalAbout you• Minimum of High School Qualification with at least 4 years of job related experience preferably within operational airline function or air freight industry• Previous supervisory experience is preferred as well as the ability to delegate, set clear directions, motivate staff and foster team work• Good knowledge of warehouse and ramp handling, Dangerous Goods Regulations, Live Animal Regulations, IATA and perishable cargo handling• Load control and previous experience with loading of freighter aircraft• Fluency in written and spoken English• Have the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this position• Occasional travel across the UK and Ireland• Shift work and weekend work would be required for this position
