The Boeing Company is currently seeking an International Defense Contracts Manager to join the International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) team in Hazelwood, MO.
This position will lead team members supporting the International Weapons contracting efforts and be the focal leader to the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Precision Engagement Systems (PES) programs for all international commercial customers across Direct Attack (DA) and Cruise Missile Systems (CMS). This manager will maintain coordination with country/customer-based contracts teams to ensure consistent positions maintained with common customers. Further, this manager will lead the US based team members who support the Defense International Operating Entities in the UK, Australia and India (BDUK, BDA, BIDPL) where numerous platforms are supported (E-7, P-8, AH-64, CH-47, C-17, etc). This scope includes Inter-organizational Work Transactions (IWTs) from The Boeing Company (TBC) to these entities and ensuring we work together as a broader global team and look for ways to improve efficiency and work with enterprise tools to ensure these entities are supported as well. Also, this leader will support new/growing entities holistically as needed.
The International DCS Leadership Team is excited to add this additional leader which allows updated scope alignment across the US based existing managers to accommodate recent and ongoing growth globally. This position requires close coordination with various internal functions from a leadership perspective (including, but not limited to Program Management, Estimating and Pricing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Financial Controls, Business Development, etc). The team desires an individual with a people focused and customer focused mindset with good contracts and finance acumen to support the US and international team members. A successful candidate will be required to bring a positive attitude, support the team through difficult situations, effectively collaborate and be able to develop positive working relationships internally and externally. This individual must adhere to a flexible schedule to support multiple time zones when needed and be able to travel domestically in the US and internationally as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees engaged in Contract Management Specialist activities
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed
3+ years of experience with Defense Contracts
3+ years of experience with Defense Finance Leadership experience (Team Lead or Major Project Focal)
1+ years of experience with International Acquisition
1+ years of experience with Commercial Contracting
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Experience leading teams that are geographically dispersed
Experience working across different time zones
Experience working with multiple platforms within an assignment
Experience working with multiple customers within an assignment
Experience working with Weapons Programs
Experience working with International Operating Entities

Summary pay range: $114,750 – $155,250
