Collins Aerospace is hiring for a Senior Production Supervisor - 1st Shift at our Jacksonville FL Busch Drive location.

The Production Supervisor manages shop floor personnel and work cell team leaders, establishes and maintains continuous improvement initiatives and sets day to day goals of the work cell. Oversees cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.

• Position is onsite at our Busch Drive location Jacksonville FL.

• This is a First Shift position; Monday – Friday (Mon-Thu 7:00 am – 3:30, Fri 5:00 am -1:30 pm).

• Relocation allowance will be provided.

What You Will Do:

• Directly responsible for a team of production technicians

• Responsible for the schedule, quality, safety, morale and overall performance of the work cell

• Support Root Cause/Corrective Action, PFMEA and APQP activities to lower operational risk

• Support ergonomic and hazard activities to lower safety risk

• Support design and set up of work cells using Lean manufacturing tools

• Responsible for improving effectiveness of the work area by solving problems in processes.

• Perform evaluation on daily production performance in order to provide Tier reports to the Operations Manager

• Ensure that team is staffed and trained to meet operational requirements

• Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for assigned work cell(s) to optimize productivity.

• Explains policies, practices and procedures of the work area.

• Ensures all quality and safety related items for assigned work cells are completed and documented to meet established quality and safety standards.

• Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution of assigned work cell(s) to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

• Communicates with parties within and outside of own department, which may include external vendors.

• Monitors cell performance and productivity to maximize productivity.

• Provides primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance and reward decisions for direct reports.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

• Experience in Manufacturing industry

• Minimum of 2 – 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in the manufacturing industry

• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior aerospace/marine industry experience is highly desirable.

• Technical Knowledge in reading and interpreting manufacturing work instructions.

• Strong Communication skills

• Computer skills (MS office)

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
