* Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School Diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate).
* Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments: Calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc., are routinely used to verify dimensions and tolerances.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications: Essential for comparing received items against design requirements.
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook):
* Essential for documentation, report generation, and communication.
* Strong attention to detail: A critical requirement for meticulous examination of materials and documentation.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen. Preferred Skills
* Relevant experience, 2-4 years, in quality inspection, especially in manufacturing or aerospace environments.
* Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI).
* Familiarity with quality standards and specifications, such as AS9100 and internal company standards.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
* Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
* Experience using quality management software (e.g., TIPQA).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Job Duties & Functions
* Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements.
* Provides objective evidence of results and performs auditing, surveillance, and monitoring.
* Identifies and documents discrepancies.
* Segregates and controls non-conforming items.
* Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification.
* Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action. Physical Requirements & Environment
* Lift up to 35 lbs, use pallet jacks, and be on your feet for a few hours a day.
* Some driving required between sites; mileage can be expensed.
