Production Technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on production equipment with minimal downtime

• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical control systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical components

• Read and interpret electrical/pneumatic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

• Dismantle, move, install, upgrade, and assemble conventional and NC/automatic machinery

• Use test equipment (e.g., voltmeters, amp meters) to diagnose issues

• Implement and document equipment upgrades, generate manufacturing sketches, and interface with computer terminals for diagnostics

• Support and collaborate with Manufacturing, Controls, and Quality Engineering teams

• May assist in training or mentoring other technicians

• Occasionally perform minor rebuilds of major machine tools

• May assist in routine production activities involving machine tending and post-processing of inflators

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required

  • Technical certification or 60 credit hours toward a technical degree preferred

• Experience:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment

  • Proficiency with high/low voltage systems, test equipment, and shop tools/fabricating equipment

• Technical Skills:

  • Familiar with NC/automatic machine tools, electrical schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  • Able to work from technical documentation or verbal instructions

• Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 40 lbs regularly, stand for prolonged periods

  • Use small hand tools and specialized safety equipment as needed

• Work Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on-site, assigned shift hours required
