Raytheon is currently seeking a mid-level computer and/or operations systems technologist to join our team. The technologist should have broad knowledge of computer software, hardware, and networks as s/he will be responsible for supporting our company’s factory systems that support manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will work across multiple Raytheon organizations including Digital Business Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Operations, Program management, Engineering, Global Security Services, and Facilities to advance, deploy, and sustain compliant infrastructure that achieves strategic milestones.
What You Will Do
Deploying and maintaining DT/OT solutions that satisfy governance, sustainment, and cybersecurity requirements on behalf of Digital Technology
Collaborating with cross functional technical teams to enable, create, and support advancement of new and legacy DT/OT architectures
Providing technical support, design input, and solution alternatives to Operations automation and software engineers utilizing DT hardware and software environments
Hosting, installing, configuring, maintaining, and inventorying server and workstation systems
Configuring security-relevant software and performing security-related compliance documentation for seamless integration with factory automation
Assigning configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services (e.g. LDAP and/ or Active Directory)
Administering servers, factory computers, printers, software deployment, security updates, and patching
Troubleshooting problems reported by users, triage, and isolate issues.
Programming and/or scripting applications
Supporting systems that are operational 24x7, occasionally requiring work effort beyond standard work hours
Must be able to lift 15 pounds in support of hardware installations
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Experience in two or more of the following areas: network design, Windows system administration, application packaging and scripting, data analysis, or installation and operation of factory IT equipment
Experience in Microsoft Windows Desktops (e.g., Windows XP, 7, 10, 11), Windows Servers (e.g., Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 2016) and/or Linux/Unix operating system administration
Qualifications We Prefer
Operations Technology (OT) integration and automation experience (sensors, robotics, PLCs etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services support
Experience with group policies and setting system security controls
Experience with cyber-security vulnerability remediation and system hardening
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good customer interaction skills with users of all levels
Experience supporting computing assets in engineering and/or factory floor environments
Detailed understanding of computing/networking fundamentals (TPC/IP, DNS/DHCP, AD/GPO, WLAN, VPN)
Ability to work independently, research and implement emerging architecture patterns, and make recommendations on IT security and compliance-based decision-making
Good interpersonal skills, ability to debate, dialogue, negotiate, influence and work with others collaboratively and constructively.
Technical curiosity, pragmatism, and a passion for solving technical problems
Detail-oriented and methodical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of Security+, CISSP, CNA, MCP, MCSA, or similar
Programming/Scripting Experience with python, java, java script, or C++ programming languages
Current DOD Security Clearance

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
