Applications are invited for the SAR Technical Crew Operational Assurance role within the Bristow Ireland OA Team
Reporting to the Bristow Ireland SAR CCOA and Bristow Ireland SAR TCM, they are an integral member of the BIL training team and will be responsible for training, and maintenance of standards of SAR Technical Crew members.
The key responsibilities for the role are:
- Ensuring Bristow standards are met.
- Ensure proficiency checks are regularly completed at all Bristow Ireland bases.
- Liaise with the CCOA, TCM and training team to organise training programmes and instruct initial and recurrent training to line and TCI staff.
- Ensure delivery of TC training as directed by NPCT to achieve safe delivery of service.
- Advise on the management of aircraft role equipment layout and specifications.
- Assist with the creation of training packages and iSpecs.
- Assist with the development, trials and testing of new SAR equipment and PPE.
- Deliver synthetic training and liaise with external providers.
- Assist with clinical competency and clinical governance processes and procedures.
- Assist with the development of TC operational procedures to ensure safe operation.
Requirements
- Qualified dual role TCI/TCE
- Paramedic/Advanced Paramedic (preferred) registration with the Prehospital Emergency Care Council or be able to obtain registration through the NQEMT process
- Strong working knowledge of Bristow procedures and experience of AW189 operations.
- Extensive experience within a Bristow operational SAR technical crew role as SAR Winch Operator and/or SAR Winchman.
- Have a strong working knowledge of BIL SAR manuals and SMS.
