Job Title: Summer Facilities Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Summer Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including flooring, painting, and building improvements. This role will also support 6S projects and tooling and die organization. The position requires an individual who can work both independently and collaboratively to help ensure our facilities remain in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform flooring installation, repairs, and maintenance.
- Execute painting projects, including surface preparation, priming, and finishing.
- Conduct general building improvements, such as carpentry, drywall, and minor electrical or plumbing repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues as needed.
- Support 6S initiatives and projects.
- Assist with tooling and die storage organization.
- Collaborate with other departments to support facility-related needs.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.
Work Conditions:
- Part-time position for the summer months.
- Work may involve exposure to dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working in physically demanding environments.
