Morson Talent are working closely with a leading defence and aerospace manufacturing organisation based in Cambrige who are looking for a nightshift Paint Sprayer
- Rates: Night shift paying 25.15 PAYE + holiday pay or 34.24 Umbrella (enhanced rates for overtime)
- Duration: Initial contract until end of year, but with the potential to extend further
- Hours: Nightshift is Monday - Thursday 9.25 hours (6:30pm start and a 04:15am finish, with a half hour break at 01:00am) plus overtime as the project progresses
- Location: Marshall Land Systems, The Airport, Newmarket Rd, Cambridge CB5 8RX
Job Responsibilities:
- Spraying components of varying sizes
- Working with a variety of paints from gloss to matt, water based and solvent
- Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits
- Ability to sort all paint defects interior or exterior using various tools and techniques be it by using spray gun, brush head or roller head
- Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of task
- Be fully conversant with all equipment, and tools associated with the Paint Spraying process
- To spray units as per customer specification using electrostatic spray pumps and single/twin pack paints.
- Check and complete all paperwork associated with the Manufacturing data pack
- To support the Production Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring that all Marshall Land System projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard
- Take an active role in continuous improvements, to include lean and 5s procedures
- Ensure equipment and tooling required is identified to the line manager
Please apply if you have the following or equivalent:
- Time served as a painter with a proven track record of paint experience
- Experience in commercial vehicle, motor trade and aircraft paint spraying
- Fully trained in working with various primers and topcoats including water based and solvent based paints
- City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent time served
