Starting Pay Rate: $68.58 per hour
About the RolePDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in aerospace to hire a Production Pilot in Mesa, AZ. In this critical role, you will conduct production acceptance testing and in-flight troubleshooting of the AH-64 Apache helicopter, ensuring airworthiness and reliability before delivery. Your expertise will directly support the performance and safety of one of the world’s most advanced aircraft.
What You’ll DoPerform Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC), in-flight troubleshooting, verifications, and Maintenance Test Flights (MTF).
Validate aircraft airworthiness after production build, repairs, or modifications.
Conduct flight briefings for crew members and maintenance personnel.
Utilize AH-64E IETM, Operator’s Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, and Check-List Manual.
Support flight operations with a focus on safety, precision, and compliance.
Required QualificationsCompletion of U.S. Army AH-64E Apache Longbow Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC) or equivalent contractor-approved training.
Minimum 1,000 flight hours as AH-64D/E Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
Current Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical (6+ months remaining at hire).
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred QualificationsCompletion of AH-64 Aviation Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase I & II or DES-approved equivalency.
Minimum 100 flight hours as AH-64D/E Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP).
Prior experience as an AH-64D/E Maintenance Examiner (ME) or Technical Inspector.
Experience in desert operations with AH-64E helicopters.
10+ years of aviation maintenance experience, including supervisory and production control leadership.
Familiarity with ULLS-A(E)/ACN or similar aviation maintenance management systems.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (with experience as outlined).

Pay Details: $68.58 per hour
