Role OverviewThe Sr. Manager – Sales Strategy will act as a strategic advisor and execution partner to the Head of Sales – India , ensuring the smooth operation of the sales function across India Market . This role bridges strategy and execution by driving key initiatives, managing cross-functional alignment, and enabling the sales leadership team to achieve revenue growth, partnership development, and spanet expansion targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
- Ensure effective coordination across regional sales teams (domestic, international, corporate, agency, distribution).
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure timely reporting on revenue, spanet share, and sales pipeline.
- Streamline processes and enhance execution discipline within the sales team.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as liaison between the Sales leadership and cross-functional teams (network planning, spaneting, alliances, revenue management, finance).
- Support high-value partnerships with travel agencies, corporates, OTAs, and alliances.
- Come up with strategies, tactical initiatives , out of the box ideas
Project & Change Management
- Lead strategic projects such as new sales models, channel optimization, digital sales initiatives, and customer acquisition programs.
- Support transformation initiatives to increase productivity, efficiency, and revenue contribution from sales channels.
People & Culture
- Foster collaboration, communication, and alignment across the sales leadership team.
- Mentor and guide team members on prioritization, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Help maintain a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Aviation, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in sales, commercial strategy, or consulting (airline/aviation/travel industry experience strongly preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and executive presence.
